Ok, back to the technical stuff.
The samsung 55 led tv is 1.2 cm deep and the wick is thinner toward the edges of the panel. The producer also offers a special flush wall mount to place the set on your wall, and a thin panel to place it on its stand, which looks impressive fromj he side. Standing in front of the TV set, you’ll notice the sublte red border edges on all four sides of the panel and an outer transparent edge, somewhat thinner than what you find on the 7000 series, gives a jewel-like look to this electronic master-piece!
Both the B6000’s and the B7000 series come with a transparent pedestal which keeps the thin panel gracefully suspended above the surface of the stand and gives the TV free way to flip to either side.
The menu system is the same as for Samsung’s las year models, yet it is “incased” in red borders to match the style of the TV itself. It’s still one of the best in the field! The text is high and legible, with plenty of explanatory text at the bottom which helps you getting around.
The remote control basically kept its last year appearance, yet it’s got a nre protrusion on the rear that keeps the clicker stable on a flat surface. Also with the new model you’ll not find the rotating scroll wheel. The buttons are big, backlit with different sizes and shapes that makes ticking around a breeze. Another great new feature is the “Tools” dedicated key which gives ou quick access to the E-manual, picture and sound modes, the sleep timer and the picture-in-picture controls.

Althought these TV’s are called LED TV’s, they are normal liquid-crystal display TV’s, the difference is made by the LED’s placed on the edges of the screen, named edge-lit technology. It’s different from some of the SONY and Samsung series which have the light-emitting diodes placed behind the screen.
Compared with the more expensive 7000 series, the main difference in the 6000 series is the interactive capability. The 6000 doesn’t come with the Yahoo Widgets, built-in content, music streaming capability and vidoe streaming capability from a PC. Yet they feature the InfoLink function, common in the 2008 LNA650 series as well.
This 6000 series samsung 55 inch led tv also include the same picture specials as with the 7000 series, like the 120 refresh-rate and dejudder processor, unique in the field up until now! You can also enjoy the tremendous number of picture and screen adjustment and correction functions and menus.You can choose from four aspect ratio modes for HD sources, two of which can move the whole image across

As I’d expect from a 1080p TV, one such mode, called the Screen Fit, allows the UNB6000 scale 1080i and 1080p sources directly to the panel’s pixels without overscan – the best option unless you see interference along the edge of the screen, as the case of some channels or programs.
Also the three power-saver modes receive a thumbs-up from me for extra energy saving. Other extra’s I’ve found are the picture-in-picture option, the E-manual on a USB thumbdrive and even the customer care screen that comes with firmware version for the case when you’ll need to call the company. Another great new feature I love is the unique among HDTV’s firmware download cappability directly to the TV. I don’t need
to go to the web site any more as I had up until now!
